In particolare è chiamato a svolgere le seguenti attività: Assicurare che sia istituito, applicato e mantenuto attivo un sistema qualità conforme alle normative vigenti. Riferire alla Direzione in merito all'andamento del sistema qualità aziendale, al fine di permetterne il riesame ed il miglioramento. Pianificare le fasi di fabbricazione e qualificare i processi speciali in modo che siano applicati in condizioni controllate, con personale e risorse adeguate.
