The candidate will work in the area of advanced engineering for Power Inverter development in the range of 50-300 kW. Areas of expertise will include Power semiconductor technology, power device packaging and thermal management, Gate drive circuits, SMPS, DC bus capacitance and EMC filters.
Main activities:
• Develop Power Electronic related concepts and architectures next generation traction inverters.
• Develop design requirements/specifications
• Together with the Project leader, Plan, lead and coordinate Power Electronics design activities for development programs.
• Work closely with suppliers and purchasing to ensure the latest available technology and designs are provided, with particular optimisation in terms of system target KPIs
• Investigate and lead the qualification of sample components and circuits targeted for the inverter platforms.
• Define and oversee prototype assembly, test and validation
• Develop design requirements/specifications
• Contribute to interdisciplinary simulations (electric, mechanical, thermal, electromagnetic, matlab/simulink)
• Perform FMEA analysis on components and subsystems
• Technical documentation during all development phases.
• Continuous support to the customer product design team and RFQ teams as required
